Alycia

"Every step forward, no matter how small, is still progress."

Alycia is a behavioural therapist at Thrive Psychology Clinic.

Since young, Alycia has been fascinated by people — how different we are, how we think, and how we behave. This curiosity led her to pursue a Diploma in Psychology Studies, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, where she deepened her understanding of human behaviour and development. She later obtained a Graduate Certificate in Psychotherapeutic Approaches (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) to further strengthen her therapeutic skills and support individuals more effectively.

Alycia’s passion for the mental health and special needs community has led her to various roles in special needs schools and centres, where she worked as a teacher and behavioural therapist. She has also volunteered in projects supporting children, youths, and adults with special needs and mental health challenges, further deepening her understanding and compassion for the people she works with.

Known for her empathetic nature, strong communication skills, and adaptability, Alycia is dedicated to building meaningful connections with the people she supports. She integrates a range of approaches in her therapy sessions, including Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), Behavioural Therapy, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), Play Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Believing that every person is unique, Alycia thoughtfully tailors each session to create a safe, supportive space for growth, self-discovery, and emotional development.
