Charn Xin

Psychotherapist

Charn Xin is a Psychotherapist at Thrive Psychology Clinic. Being taught to give back to society through volunteering from a young age has given her a unique opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. During her time volunteering, she listened to the beneficiaries’ struggles, which inspired her to pursue a major in Psychology at the National University of Singapore so that she could promote emotional well-being among others. Charn Xin’s goal is to gain more knowledge and experience in Clinical Psychology in order to impact the lives of others positively.

At Thrive Psychology Clinic, Charn Xin uses therapy techniques, such as Behavioural Therapy (BT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) to work with clients.

The quote “Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded” by Jess Lair summarises how Charn Xin views children aptly. Over the past two years and counting, she has gained experience in both the public and private education sectors. She is fascinated by developmental psychology and how to assist children to develop skillsets that will enable them to flourish.

Charn Xin is also part of the marketing team and hopes to aim to raise awareness about mental health issues and reduce the stigma associated with mental disorders through education.
