She utilises various therapy interventions such as Behavioural Therapy, Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Neurocognitive therapy (NCT) etc. With an array of therapeutic interventions, she aims to help children/adolescents develop good emotion regulation strategies that can help them deal with everyday struggles.
Vanessa’s interest lies in abnormal and clinical child psychology, where she is committed to helping children navigate stressful life situations. In addition, her background in research in related disorders such as Obsessive-compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Interventions, has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to shape challenging behaviours into adaptive ones.
At Thrive Psychology Clinic, Vanessa also helps to develop marketing content for children and come up with resources. Believing in the importance of normalising the idea of seeking a therapist’s help, Vanessa aims to educate her surroundings on the importance of mental health and wellbeing by encouraging others to seek treatments if they are in distress.
